Top players for India Cup TT |
SHILLONG, Oct 8 — One of the top table tennis championships of the country, India Cup is getting under way at the Tirot Singh Indoor Stadium here tomorrow, stated a release of the orgnising committee.
The championship, billed as Phani Sharma India Cup-2007, will be organised by the North East Table Tennis Forum, a newly set up association for the development and promotion of the game in the North-eastern states.
All the leading players of the country will be seen in action in the three-day meet which will be inaugurated by Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at 11.30 am tomorrow.
The participating players are: (Men) A Sarath Kamal, Subhajit Saha, Ariban Mandi, G Tikendra, Shibaji Dutta, A Amal Raj, Sanin Shetry, Anal Kashyap, Jubin Kumar, Devesh Kania.
(Women): Mouma Das, K Shamini, Neha Squwal, Soumi Mandal, Mamta Babhu, Divya Despande, Mousami Paul, Visakha Vijoy, Kastiri Chakravarty, Sanjukta Gogoi, Sanjana Sarma.
